About

President of Busman Oils, Willem Snippe, has got a few years of experience under his belt in the automotive industry. At the age of 14, he built his first drivable car out of three others that weren’t so drivable at all. He has had the opportunity to work in, on, or around different types of vehicles since 1965.

He has held Class S and Class T auto mechanic's licenses with an Interprovincial seal for over 40 years and currently holds an ACM2Z driver's license. He has owned or operated almost every type of vehicle (except ones that fly), including highway tractors, and small through large marine craft.

A distinguished career as an owner in a national transport company, followed by many years in automotive repair and now over 15 years with the City of Ottawa transit company in the roles of mechanic, fleet supervisor of over 1000 city buses, as well as garage supervisor for the Paratranspo division, where he managed the development of a new garage, and procedures for maintenance of the fleet.

In his personal time, Willem enjoys travel with his 40 ft. Titanium 5th wheel trailer, pulled by his Ford F350 Tow Boss diesel. He also enjoys riding his BMW K1200LT, sometimes referred to as his other light truck.
